Letter of thanks for Have-A-Go session on 21 January
The club received a lovely letter of thanks from Howard Walker, on behalf of the 18th Hebden Bridge Cub Scouts:
"I am not sure if anyone thanked the White Rose Archers on our behalf for your recent coaching/experience session with our Cubs. I'm not sure of the right person to contact but just in case it wasn't done, I hope you can pass on a collective thank you to the Archery Team who came to work with us, because the show you put on for us for our Winter Camp at Salem Field in January was absolutely brilliant, and we couldn't have wanted more.
There were loads of adults on hand, some really competent and friendly coaching, innovative targets and plenty of opportunity for the children to get up close and personal with your bows and arrows, with very little waiting in between shots. We had some great feedback from the children who really seemed to enjoy the session.
From our point of view it was really fantastic to experience the exciting activity of archery and it is definitely an exercise we'd like to repeat, when the weather turns a little warmer. I appreciate it is a lot of work for the volunteer archers for perhaps little reward, but I hope they realise their commitment and generosity in standing in the cold for hours gave a lot of young people a lot of fun"
And thank you on behalf of the club for all the members who turned out to help on the day.

Please take a look at the
Completing a Scoresheet
guide which has been drawn up by our Records Officers. Inputting the scores on the computer system is time-consuming work and the scoresheets need to be filled in properly to make this job less arduous. Incomplete scoresheets will be returned for archers to complete before they are put on to the records system.
